OKX: how to create API keys
Learn how to create OKX API keys and connect your account to cryptobots.io
1. Log in to Your Exchange Account
Open your preferred web browser and navigate to www.okx.com
Enter your credentials to log in.
2. Navigate to API Management
Once logged in, click the profile icon, then [API].
3. Click [Create API].
Please note that before creating an API key, you need to:
enable two-factor authentication (2FA) on your account;
verify your identity.
4. Provide your API with a name.
Provide a name or label for the new API key, such as 'Cryptobots'
5. Choose the account where you want to create an API key.
It includes all your main and sub-accounts.
6. Select "Linking third-party apps and select "3Commas"
We proudly use 3commas as our trade-execution layer provider.
7. Select "Trade" permission:
This allows cryptobots.io to execute trades on your behalf.
7. Enter a "passphrase."
It's a "password" for the API key. It could be "cryptobots". Our system will need this passphrase to connect to your account and execute trades.
8. Click on the "Submit all" button.
9. Complete Security Verification
Complete your email authentication code.
Enter your 2fa code from your authenticator app.
10. Reveal your API keys by clicking on "Show info"
11. Copy your keys and submit them to Cryptobots.io
Log in to your Cryptobots.io account and enter your API Key and secret Key into the designated fields. You can just copy + paste.
Congratulations! You have successfully created and submitted your API keys.
